Since its inception, the journal has been dedicated to disseminating high-quality original research papers, reviews, and scholarly communications on innovative, sustainable, and environmentally friendly technologies related to the improvement, production, processing, utilization, and valorization of sugar crops — including sugarcane, sugarbeet, sweet sorghum, stevia, palm sugar, and other related crops. The journal strongly aligns with the principles and objectives of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Sugar Tech is the official publication of the International Association of Professionals in Sugar and Integrated Technologies (IAPSIT) and the Society for Sugar Research & Promotion (SSRP), New Delhi, India. Having successfully completed 27 years of publication, the journal has established itself as a premier international platform for advancing knowledge and innovation in sugar crop improvement, crop production and management, sugar processing and technology, diversification, green energy and bio-based products, sugar agribusiness, value addition, and the application of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Precision Agriculture (PA) in the sugar sector.
In addition to full-length research articles and short communications, the journal regularly features review articles, invited papers, commentaries, scientific correspondence, and special thematic issues — contributions that have significantly enriched global knowledge and supported sustainable development of the sugar and bio-energy sectors worldwide.
