Power and duties of office bearers

President

He/She shall be the Chairman of the EC and will appoint members, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Association. He/She shall be the administrative in-charge of the Association, and its affairs. Being the executive head of the Association, the President will contact and approach countries/ organizations/societies on matters related to IAPSIT work-areas including fund raising. The President and his nominees will be ex-officio members of the Organizing Committee of IS (International Conferences).


Vice-President

He/she shall exercise such powers as may be delegated to him/her from time to time by the President or the EC. In the absence of the President, the Vice-President of the EC shall act on his/her behalf and may do all such duties as the President himself/herself would do.


Secretary

He/she shall be responsible to the EC for the general conduct of the IAPSIT activities, correspondence, and business. He/she shall also be responsible for calling the meetings of the EC of the Association, for recording and reading the minutes and executing the decisions of the EC. He/ she shall present to the EC an updated list of various categories of members and will announce the venue and date of the next EC meeting. The secretary will be an ex-officio member of the Organizing Committee of IS. The Secretary will maintain effective communication with the regional and national offices. The Secretary will assist and guide the host country in the organization of the technical activities of the IAPSIT, including IS, workshops and other projects, the publication of proceedings, newsletters, books and reports by providing guidelines to the organizers and responsible officers.


Treasurer

He/she will facilitate the operation of the accounts and other financial matters of the Association. He/she shall receive for use of the Association all sums of money due to, or payable to, the Association, and maintain a regular account of all receipts and payments. The Treasurer will be responsible for receiving membership fees and maintaining membership records. This information will be reported to the Secretary.
